The Biography of Chappy Pow Records Written by Lesley Hayles | December 17, 2023 Dane Johnson aka Chapa was born in Jamaica, growing up in the parish of St Catherine on October 15. He attended the Jose Marti Technical High School. Chapa migrated to New Jersey in 2015 and has always loved music but really got involved in it when he was introduced to fellow producer Levels_LVL in 2021. It was then he learned about producing at the Levels To Life Production studio in New Jersey but hasn’t started making his own beats yet. All his beats are suppled by ET of E.T. Tribe Entertainment, “ one of the baddest beat maker ,”says Chapa . Soon afterwards, he established his own label, Chappy Pow Records , which is currently based in Jamaica and New Jersey. Navino debuts on US iTunes Reggae Chart peaking at number 9 with “Raw Truth” By Lesley Hayles | December 9, 2023 Jamaican Dancehall artist, Navino , has been working hard throughout his career and maintained a presence with hits like “ Fulla Gyal ” on the Richter Scale Riddim produced by Dakrome Productions, collaborations with the legendary Beenie Man, as well as Kiprich, Anju Blaxx, Pink Boss, Jahmiel and most recently, Tajji on a track called “ Real ”, which came out in November 2023. He attended the Hope Valley Experimental, Excelsior High and Dunoon Technical High schools. Tajji realized he wanted to be an artist while still in the 10th grade at Dunoon. Dancehall phenoms, Spragga Benz and Assassin, also known as Agent Sasco, were based in his community at the time and he began hanging around them. The track, produced by his label Stepplyfe Records, is a Reggae track infused with Rock melodies. Originally released on October 9, 2022 in the Rock genre, Stepp_God initially used this strategy to market himself as a multi-genre musician in order to see which would be best to randomly pick up on his music and provide support. “ It’s a harder genre to get placed but it was all a learning process for me ,” he stated.
